W.B., BLUE AND THE BEAN

Cinemavixion Review

"W.B., Blue and the Bean" presents a gritty, if somewhat dated, dive into the world of Los Angeles bounty hunters. Set against the backdrop of 1989, the film follows three operatives—White Bread, Bean, and Blue—who find themselves entangled in a dangerous mission. Hired to protect a wealthy heiress, Nettie Ridgeway, who has witnessed a mob-related murder, the trio must navigate the treacherous landscape of cartel operations when she is abducted and taken to Mexico. Directed by Max Kleven, the film stars David Hasselhoff, Linda Blair, and Tony Brubaker, who bring a certain B-movie charm to their roles. While the plot may lean into familiar tropes of the action genre, the narrative's momentum, particularly the cross-border rescue attempt, offers a serviceable dose of suspense. Although not a critical darling, "W.B., Blue and the Bean" provides a straightforward, action-packed experience for fans of 80s crime thrillers.
