WATCH THE SKY

Cinemavixion Review

Alexander Murillo's "Watch the Sky" presents a compelling narrative centered on two young brothers whose innocent pursuit of capturing amateur footage of outer space takes a terrifying turn. The film masterfully builds suspense as a seemingly simple science experiment escalates into a day of unearthly events that threaten their quiet coastal town. Murillo, who also penned the script, crafts a story that balances the wonder of discovery with the primal fear of the unknown. The performances by Miles Muir, Karson Kern, and Jed Sura anchor the film, imbuing the brothers with a relatable innocence that makes their plight all the more engaging. While the film may not boast blockbuster spectacle, its strength lies in its atmospheric tension and thoughtful exploration of how the extraordinary can intrude upon the ordinary, making for a thought-provoking cinematic experience.
