WAS THE BATTLE OF KURSK THE REAL TURNING POINT OF WW2? | TANKS! | WAR STORIES

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the pivotal Battle of Kursk, a monumental clash in 1943 that remains the largest tank engagement in history. Featuring an estimated 6,000 tanks, 2,000,000 soldiers, and 4,000 aircraft, the battle represented a critical turning point on the Eastern Front of World War II. The narrative examines the ambitious German objective to eliminate the Soviet salient and how, in line with patterns of the invasion of the USSR, the Nazi forces failed to achieve their strategic goals. The film effectively conveys the sheer scale and devastating impact of this engagement, questioning its definitive role as the primary turning point of the war and offering a compelling historical analysis for enthusiasts of military history.
