WAR TRAP

Cinemavixion Review

David Aboucaya's 'War Trap' plunges viewers into the claustrophobic depths of subterranean conflict. The film masterfully crafts a narrative of survival, centering on a lone French soldier trapped underground during World War II. Laurent Guiot delivers a compelling performance, embodying the raw desperation and resilience required to endure such harrowing circumstances. The palpable tension escalates as his solitary struggle intersects with another survivor's fate, hinting at a larger, more brutal battle unfolding on the surface. While the precise year of release is 2022, its gritty realism and intense focus on the psychological toll of war evoke a timeless quality. 'War Trap' is a taut, engaging exploration of human endurance against overwhelming odds, a testament to the unyielding will to survive even when the world above seems lost.
