WAR OF THE WORLDS | ALIEN CONQUEST

Cinemavixion Review

This 2021 science-fiction offering, "War of the Worlds | Alien Conquest," presents a familiar premise: extraterrestrial invaders with hostile intentions set their sights on Earth, specifically targeting the iconic skyline of New York City. The narrative centers on sibling astronomers who possess foreknowledge of the impending Martian threat, only to find their warnings dismissed by a disbelieving world. The film grapples with themes of skepticism and the urgency of belief in the face of overwhelming evidence. As the Martians descend, the film promises a spectacle of destruction and a desperate fight for survival. While the director is not credited, the presence of actors like Tom Sizemore suggests an attempt at a grounded, action-oriented approach to this classic alien invasion trope. It invites viewers to consider the isolation of knowing a terrible truth and the chaos that ensues when that truth becomes undeniable reality.
