WALT BEFORE MICKEY

Cinemavixion Review

Khoa Le's "Walt Before Mickey" offers a compelling glimpse into the formative years of a global icon, charting Walt Disney's relentless pursuit of a dream against formidable odds. The film, based on the book of the same name, eschews the polished veneer of later success to reveal the grit and determination of a young visionary. Thomas Ian Nicholas delivers a nuanced performance as the titular character, capturing both the ambition and the vulnerability of a man forging his path. Supported by a capable cast, including Jon Heder, the narrative navigates early career setbacks, familial struggles, and the sheer tenacity required to establish an empire. It's a poignant reminder that even the most legendary figures faced significant challenges, making the eventual triumph all the more resonant and inspiring for aspiring creators.
