WAKING NIGHTMARE

Cinemavixion Review

"Waking Nightmare" delves into the unsettling territory of sleep disorders and the precariousness of prescription medication. Directed by Stephen Joseph Craig and Brian Farmer, the film presents a chilling narrative centered on Jordan, whose attempts to combat sleepwalking with Ambien lead her down a path of escalating danger. Diane Franklin, David Naughton, and Jamison Newlander deliver performances that anchor the psychological tension. While the film grapples with themes of control and the subconscious, its exploration of these elements is often overshadowed by a predictable descent into horror tropes. The visual execution and pacing, however, effectively build suspense, making it a compelling, if somewhat familiar, thriller for fans of the genre. The IMDb rating of 6.8 suggests a moderately engaging experience for viewers.
