WAKE THE DEAD

Cinemavixion Review

Michael Luceri's 'Wake the Dead' plunges viewers into a chilling supernatural narrative, anchored by a compelling performance from Nadia Gillespie as Kristin. The film masterfully explores the harrowing aftermath of a near-death experience, where Kristin finds herself tethered to a malevolent spirit world. Luceri adeptly crafts an atmosphere of escalating dread as Kristin and her fiancé navigate a new home haunted by its dark past. The tension builds effectively, fueled by Kristin's desperate attempts to sever the connection, only to discover the entity's insatiable hunger. While the IMDb rating suggests a polarizing reception, the film's commitment to its horror premise and the exploration of psychological trauma make it a noteworthy entry for fans of the genre seeking a suspenseful and atmospheric experience.
