WAIT TILL HELEN COMES

Cinemavixion Review

"Wait Till Helen Comes" delves into the eerie and the familial, offering a narrative that balances supernatural suspense with the complexities of a blended family. The film's premise, centered on a young girl discovering a psychic gift to protect her stepsister from a malevolent spirit, is compelling. Director Dominic James crafts an atmosphere thick with unease, punctuated by moments of genuine fright. Sophie Nélisse delivers a nuanced performance as the protagonist grappling with her newfound abilities and the isolation of their new home. While the film may not reach the heights of blockbuster horror, it succeeds as an engaging supernatural drama, particularly for those drawn to stories exploring the darker side of childhood and the bonds that tie us together, even in the face of the spectral unknown.
