WAIT TILL HELEN COMES

Cinemavixion Review

Dominic James's 2016 film "Wait Till Helen Comes" offers a compelling blend of family drama and supernatural suspense, anchored by a strong performance from Sophie Nélisse. The narrative centers on Molly, a teenager who discovers an uncanny ability to communicate with spirits after her family relocates to a secluded, converted church. Her newfound powers become crucial as she must protect her younger stepsister from the spectral influence of a lonely ghost girl. The film, adapted from Mary Downing Hahn's novel, delves into themes of fear, sibling relationships, and the acceptance of the unknown. While the IMDb rating suggests a mixed reception, the intriguing premise and the exploration of a young girl's courage in the face of the supernatural make "Wait Till Helen Comes" a worthwhile watch for fans of atmospheric, character-driven horror with a touch of the fantastical.
