VOYAGE OF THE ROCK ALIENS

Cinemavixion Review

James Fargo's "Voyage of the Rock Aliens" is a delightfully campy journey into the heart of 1980s B-movie charm. Set in the fictional town of "Speelburgh," the film chronicles the arrival of extraterrestrial visitors on a quest to uncover the origins of rock and roll. Their mission quickly becomes entangled with the local youth, particularly the spirited Dee Dee and the rock band "The Pack." Pia Zadora delivers a memorable performance as Dee Dee, anchoring the film with her energetic presence. While perhaps not a critical darling, the movie offers a unique blend of musical numbers, comedic misunderstandings, and alien encounters that makes for an entertaining, albeit unconventional, viewing experience. It’s a cult classic that celebrates the fun and absurdity of its genre.
