VON BRAUN WHEEL: THE NAZI SPACE STATION YOU’VE NEVER HEARD OF

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into a fascinating, albeit lesser-known, aspect of space exploration history: the Von Braun Wheel, a concept that predates many familiar space station designs. The episode skillfully navigates the complex lineage of rocket technology, tracing its origins from early 20th-century endeavors through the pivotal developments of World War II, particularly the V-2 rocket program under Wernher von Braun. It effectively illustrates how this military technology became the bedrock for the subsequent Cold War space race. The narrative expands to encompass the monumental achievements of the era, including the launch of Sputnik, the establishment of NASA, and the groundbreaking orbital missions of pioneers like Yuri Gagarin. This exploration offers a compelling look at the often-overlooked foundations upon which humanity's journey to the stars was built, providing valuable context for understanding the evolution of spaceflight.
