VIRTUALLY DEAD

Cinemavixion Review

Paolo Bertola's 2014 film, "Virtually Dead," plunges viewers into a chilling fusion of zombie horror and technological anxiety. The narrative centers on a virtual reality game engineered by a malevolent programmer, which tragically blurs the boundaries between the digital realm and the tangible world. As the game's zombie apocalypse breaches reality, the players find themselves in a desperate fight for survival against an encroaching undead horde. The film masterfully explores the contemporary fears surrounding advanced technology, presenting a visceral experience where the terror of a digital nightmare bleeds into everyday life. "Virtually Dead" offers intense thrills, compelling audiences to question the ever-fading line between virtual specters and genuine, life-threatening peril. Featuring a cast including Stefano Guerriero, Chiara Alivernini, Alex Lucchesii, and Alessandra Angeli, this offering is a thought-provoking exploration of our increasingly interconnected, and potentially perilous, digital future.
