VIRAL FEAR

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Viral Fear', director T.J. Monterde crafts a tense chamber drama that plunges viewers into the claustrophobic confines of an elevator. As unlikely strangers find themselves trapped with a potential COVID-19 carrier, the film masterfully escalates the palpable fear, exposing the insidious spread of prejudice and racism that festers in moments of crisis. The narrative cleverly uses the confined space not just as a physical trap, but as a crucible for social anxieties, demonstrating how fear can be a more virulent contagion than any pathogen. This timely piece serves as a stark reminder of our shared humanity and the dangers of succumbing to panic and division.
