VIOLET VIXEN: BRITAIN'S COOLEST DRAG KID

Cinemavixion Review

"Violet Vixen: Britain's Coolest Drag Kid" offers a compelling glimpse into the world of Leo, an 11-year-old who navigates the complexities of self-expression with remarkable poise. The documentary explores Leo's passion for makeup, dressing up, and his fluid approach to identity. It's crucial to understand that Leo's exploration isn't about gender transition, but rather a desire for the freedom to engage in activities often deemed 'girlish' and, most importantly, to simply be himself. The film highlights his articulacy and sass, painting a portrait of a young individual embracing his authentic self with an amazing maturity that challenges conventional norms. It’s a poignant and insightful look at childhood, creativity, and the universal need for acceptance.
