VILLAINS

Cinemavixion Review

Robbie Moffat's 2012 crime drama, "Villains," presents a compelling narrative centered on an aging antagonist entangled in a web of deceit. The film masterfully explores themes of betrayal and familial manipulation, as the protagonist's double-dealing schemes are ultimately undone by his own daughter's cunning. Suzanne Kendall, Chris Bearne, and Stephen Mcleod deliver performances that anchor the story's gritty realism. While the film may not boast extensive accolades, its tight plotting and character-driven tension make it a noteworthy entry in the crime thriller genre, offering a satisfying, albeit dark, exploration of moral ambiguity and the consequences of a life lived outside the law.
