VIKING: THE BERSERKERS

Cinemavixion Review

Antony Smith's "Viking: The Berserkers" plunges viewers into the grim realities of Dark Ages Britain, presenting a brutal saga of survival. The film follows a group of Saxon captives ensnared by a ruthless Viking clan and forced into a deadly manhunt. However, what begins as a desperate struggle for survival for the Saxons soon transforms into a visceral fight for dominance. As the hunt escalates, the captives shed their roles as prey, evolving into formidable hunters in a bloody battle against their Viking captors. Douglas Russell and Amber Jean Rowan anchor the film with performances that capture the raw desperation and burgeoning resilience of the protagonists, supported by the imposing presence of Simon Armstrong as one of the Viking warriors. While the film may not shy away from its violent premise, it offers a compelling narrative of defiance and the unyielding will to survive against overwhelming odds.
