VICTORY BY SUBMISSION

Cinemavixion Review

"Victory By Submission" offers a compelling narrative that transcends the typical sports drama. Director Alan Autry crafts a story centered on MMA fighter Tommy Hendricks, whose battles in the ring mirror a deeper, internal struggle with his past and a search for spiritual redemption. Eric Roberts, Fred Williamson, and Lee Majors anchor the film with performances that lend gravitas to Hendricks' journey. While the film delves into the physicality of MMA, its true strength lies in exploring themes of faith and personal reckoning. The inclusion of Hendricks' quest to find God adds a unique spiritual dimension, making this more than just a fight movie, but a profound character study. It's a film that respects its audience, inviting contemplation on the fights we face both inside and outside the arena.
