VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS 2022

Cinemavixion Review

This charming production, "VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS 2022," offers a delightful hour-long escape into the festive spirit of a bygone era. Director Liam Dale masterfully recreates the atmosphere of 19th-century Britain, emphasizing the pivotal role of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in shaping Christmas traditions. The program is distinguished by its authentic touches, from the meticulously rendered, albeit 'hot work,' candle-lit Christmas trees to a spirited reenactment of the fiery snap-dragon game. The inclusion of genuine Victorian archival material and a heartwarming reading of 'A Christmas Carol' by the director's sons adds a deeply personal and engaging dimension. It's a thoughtful exploration of holiday heritage, perfect for those seeking a warm, nostalgic embrace.
