VETERANS HEAD BACK TO NORMANDY AFTER THE WAR

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a deeply personal and poignant account of George Ciampa's return to Normandy, ninety-three years after his harrowing D-Day experience. As a WWII Army veteran and filmmaker, Ciampa brings a unique perspective to the narrative, recounting the immense scale of the invasion – the sight of four thousand ships and the deafening thunder – with vivid, albeit brief, detail. The film serves as a powerful testament to the enduring impact of war and the courage of those who served, making it a valuable, albeit short, historical document.
