VERY FRIGHTENING TALES

Cinemavixion Review

"Very Frightening Tales" emerges as a compelling anthology that successfully channels the spirit of genre classics like "The Twilight Zone" and "Black Mirror." Director Dale Fabrigar and a team of writers weave together seven distinct narratives, each offering a unique flavor of suspense and psychological intrigue. From the poignant vulnerability of a young ballerina to the grim finality of a hitman's career, the film explores diverse facets of the human condition under duress. The inclusion of tales involving a cryptic package, the perilous journey of immigrants, and a nightmare that bleeds into reality, showcases a breadth of thematic exploration. Standout segments, such as the one featuring an unnervingly prescient fortune teller and the chilling ambition of a budding actor, are particularly memorable. While the IMDb rating suggests a mixed reception, the film's ambitious scope and its commitment to delivering thought-provoking, chilling narratives make it a worthy watch for enthusiasts of the anthology format.
