URBAN LEGENDS - THE MAN WHO SURVIVED 60 YEARS WITH A BROKEN NECK

Cinemavixion Review

This compilation of urban legends delves into the bizarre and the unbelievable, questioning the veracity of tales that have long circulated. The narrative structure cleverly juxtaposes mundane teenage anxieties, like preparing for a date and the awkward encounter with a girlfriend's father, with extraordinary claims of survival and sacrifice. The standout segment, featuring a soldier who allegedly walked for 60 years with a broken neck, is a testament to the enduring power of myth and the human capacity for resilience, however improbable. Another segment presents a diver whose recreational activity turns into a heroic, albeit fatal, act of community service. While the documentary doesn't definitively confirm or deny these stories, it succeeds in sparking curiosity and encouraging viewers to ponder the line between folklore and fact. It's a compelling exploration of the stories we tell ourselves and the archetypes they represent.
