UPON WAKING

Cinemavixion Review

"Upon Waking" presents a unique and introspective premise, exploring themes of self-love and acceptance through a supernatural lens. The narrative centers on two young women whose shared experience of carbon monoxide poisoning plunges them into a coma, forcing their spirits to confront inner turmoil. This metaphorical journey into the subconscious, where true healing and connection can only occur after internal reconciliation, offers a poignant exploration of personal demons and the complexities of love. The film's strength lies in its imaginative concept, promising a sensitive portrayal of emotional awakening and the profound impact of self-discovery on the path to recovery and genuine intimacy.
