UNDER THE CRYSTAL DOME

Cinemavixion Review

Cristian Parras's "Under the Crystal Dome" (2019) plunges viewers into a psychological labyrinth, weaving a narrative of loss and obsession. The film masterfully follows psychiatrist Andrew Owens as he becomes entangled in the mysterious case of Thomas Burke, a father desperately searching for his son in a foreboding forest. What begins as a professional inquiry soon evolves into a deeply personal descent into the subconscious, where the lines between reality and delusion blur. The performances, particularly from the Adams family and Nathan Ariss, anchor the film's emotional core, while Parras's direction crafts an atmosphere of palpable unease. "Under the Crystal Dome" is a compelling exploration of the human psyche, offering a thought-provoking mystery that lingers long after the credits roll.
