UK'S FEMALE-ONLY CRIME GANG: ALICE DIAMOND AND THE FORTY ELEPHANTS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges viewers into the shadowy underworld of 1990s South London, centering on the notorious female-only crime syndicate known as the Forty Elephants, led by the formidable Alice Diamond. The narrative recounts a dramatic ambush of a Securicor van in Reigate, Surrey, a meticulously planned heist that underscores the gang's audacity and sophistication. The film skillfully contrasts the high-stakes criminal activity with the diligent police work that ultimately led to the dismantling of this powerful crime family, drawing parallels to the infamous Richardson gang. It's a compelling look at a unique chapter in British criminal history, highlighting the rise and fall of a group that defied traditional gangster archetypes.
