TWENTY MILLION PEOPLE

Cinemavixion Review

Michael Ferrell's "Twenty Million People" (2013) is a charmingly awkward exploration of modern love, viewed through the eyes of Brian, a man whose cynical outlook on romance is challenged when a captivating comedian he's fallen for inexplicably vanishes. Armed with questionable advice from his best friend, an ex who knows him all too well, and the tropes of classic rom-coms, Brian embarks on a hilariously misguided quest to win her back. The film, which garnered 6 wins and 8 nominations, deftly navigates the complexities of self-aware relationships in a digital age. With a commendable 7.2/10 rating on IMDb, "Twenty Million People" offers a fresh, witty, and relatable take on the perils and possibilities of finding love when you least expect it, and perhaps, least believe in it. Its concise 75-minute runtime makes it a perfect, engaging watch for anyone who's ever questioned the rules of modern dating.
