TURN OF THE BLADE

Cinemavixion Review

Bryan Michael Stoller's 'Turn of the Blade' offers a compelling dive into the dark side of desire and obsession. Set against a mid-90s backdrop, the film masterfully crafts a narrative of escalating tension, following a photographer whose brief affair with a helicopter pilot spirals into a terrifying game of pursuit. Crystal Owens delivers a chilling performance as the possessive pilot, while David Christensen navigates the unraveling life of the photographer caught in her dangerous fixation. The film's strength lies in its psychological depth, blending elements of romance and thriller with an almost Hitchcockian sense of dread. While the visual style evokes its era, the core themes of betrayal and obsession remain timeless, making 'Turn of the Blade' a suspenseful and thought-provoking watch for fans of indie thrillers.
