TURN BACK

Cinemavixion Review

Mungo Benson's "TURN BACK" plunges viewers into a disorienting journey through fragmented memory. The film centers on Lucy, portrayed with compelling vulnerability, as she navigates a nebulous past in a desperate search for identity and belonging. Each scene unfolds like a piece of a fractured puzzle, with the narrative expertly weaving a sense of unease and constant flight. Benson's direction crafts an atmosphere thick with introspection, where the external world seems to mirror Lucy's internal turmoil. The performances, particularly from Holly Weston as Lucy, anchor the film, imbuing the character's existential quest with palpable emotional weight. "TURN BACK" is a thought-provoking exploration of memory, trauma, and the elusive nature of home, inviting audiences to piece together the truth alongside its protagonist.
