TRUTH & TIDINGS

Cinemavixion Review

Emeka Bishop Nwabunze's "Truth & Tidings" is a Nigerian drama that plunges viewers into a labyrinth of familial betrayal and long-simmering rivalries. The narrative centers on three women, locked in a perpetual struggle for affection, only to discover that their supposed maternal figure is not who they believed her to be. The plot thickens with the revelation of a dying caregiver, whose fragmented truths become the linchpin connecting these women in an unexpected, tangled web. Nwabunze masterfully navigates the complexities of love-hate dynamics, suspense, and the search for peace amidst chaos. Starring Frankincense Eche-Ben, Phina Egbuchu, and Sunday Ekpe, the film offers a melodramatic yet compelling exploration of sisterhood, secrets, and the often-unforeseen consequences of truth.
