TRUSTING IS GOOD... SHOOTING IS BETTER

Cinemavixion Review

Osvaldo Civirani's "Trusting Is Good... Shooting Is Better" plunges viewers into a chaotic scramble for riches following a botched robbery. Released in 1968, this Italian Western, starring the charismatic George Hilton alongside Sandra Milo and John Ireland, captures a gritty, avaricious spirit. The narrative expertly unravels as the initial plan disintegrates, leaving a trail of double-crosses and escalating desperation among the remaining bandits. Civirani masterfully balances moments of tense action with dark humor, showcasing a keen eye for the absurdities of greed. While the film might not boast the polish of more mainstream productions, its raw energy and compelling performances, particularly from Hilton, make it a noteworthy entry in the genre, offering a satisfyingly cynical take on loyalty and avarice.
