Robert N. Bradbury’s 1937 Western, "Trusted Outlaw," offers a compact yet engaging narrative centered on Dan Ward, a man burdened by his family’s outlaw reputation but seeking redemption. Portrayed with rugged conviction by Bob Steele, Ward is entrusted by mine owner Pember with a crucial payroll, a task fraught with peril from the cunning outlaw Swain and his gang. The film adeptly weaves a tale of double-crosses and narrow escapes, as Ward must outwit his adversaries, even employing a clever ruse with counterfeit money. The plot thickens with the introduction of Pember's niece, who inadvertently places herself in danger, escalating the stakes for Ward.
