TROY THE ODISSEY

Cinemavixion Review

This 2017 production, directed by Tekin Girgin and featuring Dylan Vox, Lara Heller, and Hachem Hicham, presents a narrative inspired by Homer's epic poem. While the film draws from the rich tapestry of ancient Greek mythology, its direct connection to the original 'Odyssey' may be a point of discussion for purists. Nonetheless, it offers a visual interpretation of classic tales, inviting audiences to explore the enduring themes of heroism, fate, and the arduous journeys that define epic literature. The film's ambition lies in its attempt to translate the grandeur of Homeric verse into a cinematic experience, making it a noteworthy, albeit potentially divergent, take on a timeless story.
