Cinemavixion Review

In the ambitious, albeit somewhat derivative, sci-fi thriller 'Triassic World' (2018), director Dylan Vox explores a chilling premise where the resurrection of dinosaurs takes a decidedly utilitarian turn. The film posits a future where these prehistoric giants are ingeniously, and perhaps foolishly, employed as bio-factories for growing human organs, a concept that immediately raises ethical and scientific alarm bells. However, as is often the case in such narratives, the scientific marvel quickly devolves into a primal struggle for survival when the genetically engineered creatures, rendered nearly indestructible, breach their containment. The plot, which centers on the scientists who must then fight for their lives against their own creations, is driven by a sense of escalating dread. While the film may not break new ground in the dinosaur-on-the-loose subgenre, it delivers a serviceable dose of action and suspense. The performances, particularly from Shellie Sterling and Joseph Harris, anchor the human element amidst the reptilian chaos. 'Triassic World' offers a straightforward, tension-filled ride for fans of creature features and cautionary tales about humanity's unchecked scientific curiosity.
