TREASURE STATE

Cinemavixion Review

Andrew Wiest's 'Treasure State' offers a surprisingly resonant tale of rivalry and redemption set against the stark beauty of Montana's snow-capped mountains. The film expertly captures the volatile dynamic between two feuding teenagers, whose animosity is tested when they must unite to secure valuable cargo from a downed aircraft. What begins as a competition soon evolves into an unexpected adventure that profoundly shapes their futures. The performances from Robert Milo Andrus and Robert Bear are particularly compelling, grounding the narrative with authentic youthful energy. While external data suggests a family-friendly adventure, the core of the film lies in its exploration of how shared challenges can forge unlikely bonds, proving that even the most entrenched rivalries can yield to cooperation and personal growth. It's a journey of discovery, both external and internal, that lingers long after the credits roll.
