TRANSPORTING 8FT GREY NURSE SHARK 1,000 MILES BY AIR

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary-style video follows Ian Gordon's ambitious undertaking of transporting a large grey nurse shark, also known as a sand tiger shark, over 1,000 miles by air. The journey's destination is Melbourne, Australia, where the shark will contribute to a breeding program. The film highlights the critical conservation status of grey nurse sharks, noting that despite government protection since 1984, their numbers continue to dwindle. While offering a glimpse into the logistics of wildlife transport and the challenges faced by this endangered species, the video serves as an informative, albeit brief, look at conservation efforts in action.
