In "Transference," a taut sci-fi thriller from 2020, a desperate sibling duo finds themselves on the run from a relentless government agent. The narrative centers on Joshua's fierce determination to shield his twin sister, Emma, whose burgeoning supernatural powers make them targets of a clandestine experiment. The film effectively builds suspense as the siblings navigate a perilous landscape, constantly evading capture. While the external data points to Matthew Ninaber as director, the local data highlights a compelling performance from Melissa Joy Boerger and Jennifer Cornish, who anchor the emotional core of the story amidst the escalating action. It’s a solid entry into the genre, exploring themes of protection, extraordinary abilities, and the terrifying reach of unchecked authority, making for an engaging watch for fans of suspenseful speculative fiction.
