TRACE: FEAR WHAT YOU BELIEVE

Cinemavixion Review

Ryan Brookhart's 2015 film, TRACE: FEAR WHAT YOU BELIEVE, plunges into the chilling territory of the supernatural, exploring the dangerous intersection of technology and the occult. The narrative centers on a group of friends who, in their pursuit of understanding Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP), inadvertently unleash a malevolent entity upon our reality. This premise taps into contemporary anxieties about the unseen forces that technology might unwittingly summon. The film's strength lies in its commitment to building suspense through atmosphere and the escalating dread experienced by its characters, portrayed by Jeremiah Benjamin, Mike Capozzi, and Nick Fink. While the film delves into familiar horror tropes, its exploration of belief and the consequences of tampering with the unknown offers a compelling, albeit unsettling, viewing experience.
