TOP GUNNER

Cinemavixion Review

Daniel Lusko's "Top Gunner" plunges viewers into a high-stakes geopolitical thriller where a group of recent Air Force graduates find themselves defending a potent bio-weapon. The narrative, set against the backdrop of potential global catastrophe, hinges on the desperate efforts of Russian forces to acquire this deadly viral agent. Starring Eric Roberts, Carol Anne Watts, and Ignacyo Matynia, the film attempts to blend military action with the urgent threat of genetic warfare. While the premise offers a compelling setup for suspense, the execution, as suggested by its critical reception, navigates a challenging path. The film's strength lies in its direct, no-nonsense approach to its central conflict, making it a brisk, albeit polarizing, entry into the action genre.
