TOMB INVADER

Cinemavixion Review

"Tomb Invader" presents a familiar adventure trope: a quest for a lost relic intertwined with a personal mystery. The narrative follows archaeologist Alabama Channing as she's drawn into a high-stakes search for an ancient Chinese artifact, a pursuit that echoes her mother's own disappearance. While the premise offers a blend of Indiana Jones-esque exploration and familial intrigue, the film's execution, as suggested by its modest critical reception, leans into the more straightforward action-adventure elements. Director James Thomas crafts a serviceable narrative, with Gina Vitori leading the charge as the determined Channing. The film, though perhaps not groundbreaking, delivers a competent journey for viewers seeking a pulpy treasure hunt with a touch of personal stakes.
