TO YOUR LAST DEATH

Cinemavixion Review

Jason Axinn's animated thriller, "To Your Last Death," plunges viewers into a nightmarish familial conflict interwoven with a high-stakes supernatural game. The narrative centers on Miriam, a young woman thrust into a deadly contest devised by her vengeful father. Her only hope for survival, and that of her siblings, lies in navigating the ever-shifting, malevolent rules set forth by the enigmatic Game Master. The film, released in 2019, boasts a voice cast including the notable talents of Morena Baccarin and William Shatner, lending gravitas to the intense, fantasy-driven adventure. Despite its dark premise and a plot that promises a tightly crafted survival experience, critical reception has been mixed, with an IMDb rating of 5.8/10 and a Rotten Tomatoes score of 54%. Nevertheless, "To Your Last Death" offers a unique blend of horror and fantasy, exploring themes of survival, family betrayal, and the consequences of playing games with forces beyond mortal comprehension.
