TITANIC’S LOST IRISH EMIGRANTS | WAKING THE TITANIC | FULL DOCUMENTARY

Cinemavixion Review

The documentary 'Titanic's Lost Irish Emigrants | Waking the Titanic' delves into a poignant and often overlooked aspect of the ill-fated RMS Titanic voyage. Focusing on the Addergoole 14, fourteen young emigrants from County Mayo, Ireland, the film chronicles their hopeful journey towards a new life in America in 1912. It masterfully interweaves stylized re-enactments with the deeply personal testimonies of descendants, painting a vivid picture of their dreams, preparations, and the tragic reality that befell most of them – only three of the fourteen survived. This is a moving exploration of hope, profound loss, and enduring resilience, ensuring the story of the Addergoole 14 is not forgotten amidst the broader narrative of the Titanic disaster.
