TITANIC: THE LEGEND GOES ON...

Cinemavixion Review

Embarking on a voyage that tragically mirrors its historical namesake, "Titanic: The Legend Goes On..." presents a curious animated take on the ill-fated maiden journey. Directed by Camillo Teti, this 2000 production, featuring the voices of Lisa Russo and Mark Thompson, attempts to weave a tale of romance and survival amidst the icy peril. While the external data suggests a blend of fantasy and family elements, with an emphasis on anthropomorphic characters, the core narrative focuses on the budding relationship between Angelica and Sir William. Despite its low critical reception as indicated by its IMDb rating, the film's unique animated approach to a well-trodden story offers a distinct, albeit unconventional, viewing experience. It stands as a peculiar footnote in the cinematic legacy of the Titanic, prioritizing a simplified, perhaps even whimsical, retelling over historical fidelity or dramatic weight.
