TITANIC II

Cinemavixion Review

While the shadow of James Cameron's epic looms large, "Titanic II" (2010) charts its own, albeit smaller, course through the icy waters of disaster cinema. Directed by and starring Shane Van Dyke, this film attempts to recapture the maritime tragedy by setting a modern luxury liner, also named Titanic II, on a commemorative voyage that is tragically interrupted by a rogue tsunami and a colossal iceberg. The plot mirrors its namesake's fate, focusing on the desperate struggle for survival amidst the chaos. Though it may not possess the grandeur or emotional depth of the 1997 blockbuster, "Titanic II" offers a B-movie thrill ride for those seeking a contemporary take on a classic disaster scenario. Its low IMDb rating suggests a critical reception that aligns with its modest ambitions, but for fans of disaster flicks, it provides a straightforward, action-packed narrative.
