This documentary delves into the life of Tilly Devine, a figure who rose from humble beginnings to become a notorious crime boss in post-World War I Sydney. The narrative paints a vivid portrait of a woman who navigated the treacherous landscape of the city's underworld, establishing a formidable empire built upon the sex trade. Devine's story is one of ambition, ruthlessness, and survival, highlighting her ascent through sheer force of will and a sharp business acumen, often wielded with a 'razor in her hand.'
