THIS MAN CAN'T DIE

Cinemavixion Review

This Man Can't Die plunges viewers into a gritty revenge Western, driven by the primal urge of a protagonist seeking retribution for the brutal murder of his family. Guy Madison embodies Benson, a man consumed by vengeance, on the hunt for the outlaw gang responsible for his parents' and siblings' demise. The narrative, while steeped in familiar Western tropes, offers a compelling exploration of a character's descent into obsession, with his desire for revenge intertwined with a disturbingly possessive claim over his surviving sister, Susy. The 1968 production, directed by Gianfranco Baldanello, showcases a raw intensity, likely appealing to fans of Spaghetti Westerns who appreciate a darker, more personal take on the genre's classic conflicts. The film's straightforward, action-oriented plot is bolstered by the performances of Lucienne Bridou and Rik Battaglia, adding layers to Benson's unforgiving quest.
