THIS HORRIFIC SERIAL KILLER ONLY TARGETED ELDERLY WOMEN | CATCHING AUSTRALIA'S "GRANNY KILLER"

Cinemavixion Review

Sydney was gripped by fear in 1989 and 1990 as a series of brutal murders targeted elderly women on the affluent North Shore. This documentary delves into the chilling case of Australia's "Granny Killer," a perpetrator whose attacks seemed random yet were disturbingly personal, often involving a hammer and occurring in broad daylight. The narrative unfolds the investigation into six horrific killings over a fourteen-month period, highlighting the palpable terror that spread through the community. Journalist Lindsay Simpson's firsthand account of interviewing the convicted killer in prison offers a particularly unsettling glimpse into the rage that fueled these crimes, noting a peculiar trigger related to hair. This true-crime account is a stark reminder of the darkness that can lurk beneath the surface of seemingly peaceful suburbs, examining the psychological profile of a murderer and the devastating impact on victims and their families.
