Travis Stevens' "Girl on the Third Floor" (2019) plunges viewers into a chilling renovation tale that transcends its genre trappings. Starring CM Punk, Trieste Kelly Dunn, and Sarah Brooks, the film masterfully blends domestic drama with escalating horror. The narrative follows Don Koch, who embarks on transforming a dilapidated mansion, unaware of its dark history as a former brothel. As the renovations progress, the house's sinister secrets begin to surface, leading to a terrifying confrontation with its spectral inhabitants. "Girl on the Third Floor" garnered significant attention, evidenced by its 81% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a Metascore of 65, reflecting critical appreciation for its atmospheric tension and compelling performances. Despite a modest IMDb rating of 4.7/10, the film is a noteworthy entry for fans of psychological horror and haunted house narratives, proving that sometimes the most terrifying specters are those embedded within the walls of our own aspirations.
