THEY WANT ME GONE

Cinemavixion Review

Drew Britton's 'They Want Me Gone' plunges viewers into a tense narrative of maternal struggle and escalating paranoia. Set against a backdrop of rural poverty, the film masterfully crafts an atmosphere where trust erodes and suspicion festers. Emily Decker delivers a compelling performance as a mother fighting not only against her circumstances but also against an encroaching sense of betrayal from those she holds dear. The film's strength lies in its psychological tension, drawing parallels between external threats and internal anxieties. While the IMDb rating suggests a solid reception, it's the palpable sense of dread and the nuanced portrayal of a woman pushed to her limits that truly resonate, making this a noteworthy entry in the thriller genre.
