Cinemavixion Review

In "They Don't Cast Shadows," director Melissa Goad crafts a compelling narrative centered on Lisa McGrath, a high school student whose life takes an extraordinary turn after a spiritual rebirth. The film skillfully blends supernatural elements with the universal themes of romance and danger, as Lisa discovers her unique ability to perceive angels and demons. Emily Gateley delivers a nuanced performance as Lisa, navigating the complexities of her newfound powers and the daunting task of protecting her hometown from ancient evils. The supporting cast, including Chandler Hancock and Ryon Thomas, provides solid performances that anchor the fantastical plot. While the film embraces its genre conventions, it also explores the challenges of adolescent responsibility and the courage required to confront overwhelming darkness. "They Don't Cast Shadows" is a noteworthy entry in the genre, offering a blend of spiritual awakening and action that resonates with its audience.
