THEY ARE WATCHING

Cinemavixion Review

J.M. Stelly's 'They Are Watching' plunges viewers into the chilling underbelly of the internet, where the lines between voyeurism and reality blur into a terrifying ordeal. The film follows two friends, creators of an online channel, whose lives take a dark turn after a fateful order from the deep web. This mystery box, a Pandora's artifact, irrevocably connects them to the sinister world of 'Red Rooms,' notorious for their illicit and violent content. Stelly, who also stars in the film alongside Keegan Macy and Jared Bankens, crafts an atmosphere thick with dread and paranoia. The narrative expertly ratchets up the tension, exploring themes of digital obsession and the consequences of seeking out forbidden knowledge. 'They Are Watching' is a stark reminder of the unseen dangers lurking in the digital ether, offering a suspenseful and unsettling viewing experience that resonates long after the credits roll.
